How did the use of consent in taking photographs affect your photography? How did the presentation today affect how you took photos?

The presentation made me realize that every picture has a theme or a story whether its planned or not; that to take a picture means to capture a moment.

I appreciated the Manong pictures (in the presentation) because they were a big part of our Filipino history here in SOMA.

I asked by partner before I took a photo. We also asked each other when we wanted to take the photo.
I also asked if they liked the angle.
It showed me that taking pictures meant something.

I took candid pics which are pretty.

I always ask if I can take picture of people and if they don’t agree, I woudn’t do it.

We asked each other where we want to take the picture.
I asked my friend to take pictures of me in a nice way.

We took pictures of each other and I asked them if they can take pictures of me.

I made sure that I asked for consent so that the person gives me the approval.
After the presentation, I will always make sure to ask for other people’s consent and explain to them why I am taking pictures.

We respected each other’s decision on taking the picture.

We asked each other if we can take each others pictures in a public sphere.
The presentation helped me understand how photography started and how it impacted people.

And from these pictures, we can relive people’s moments or just get to know them or learn from it.
